Privacy Policy

This policy covers both websites maintained by the Kusteeveer Khashaba Jadhav Foundation — www.khashabafoundation.org (this site) and www.khashaba.in (the Khashaba Jadhav Legacy Archive). It explains what information we collect when you visit either site, why, and what choices you have.

Who we are

The Kusteeveer Khashaba Jadhav Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company registered in India (CIN U88900PN2024NPL233550), with its registered office at 1599, Arihant Galaxy, Flat No. F-1, Civil Hospital Road, Sangli, Maharashtra 416416. We are the "data fiduciary" for the purposes of this policy under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Information you give us. Neither site runs a web form. If you write to us — by emailing contact@khashabafoundation.org — we receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, email address and message. We use this only to respond to you, and, where relevant, to process a donation, partnership enquiry or archive contribution.

Information collected automatically. Both sites use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the sites — pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (derived from IP address, not the address itself), device and browser type, and referring site. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Future: donations. Once online giving (bank transfer / UPI / payment gateway) is live on this site, any payment details you enter will be handled directly by our bank or payment processor under their own security standards — we do not store card or bank credentials ourselves. We retain your name, contact details and donation amount only as required to issue an 80G tax receipt and maintain statutory donor records under the Income-tax Act, 1961.

Cookies

Google Analytics places a small number of cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can block or delete these at any time through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking entirely using Google's browser add-on. Neither site currently uses cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How we use your information

To respond to enquiries; to issue donation receipts and maintain the statutory records our 80G registration requires; to understand which parts of the sites are useful so we can improve them; and to meet our obligations to regulators such as the Registrar of Companies, the Income Tax Department and NITI Aayog's NGO Darpan portal. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Google, as our analytics provider, processes traffic data under its own privacy terms. Our bank or payment gateway (once online giving is live) will process payment details under theirs. We do not otherwise share your information with third parties, except where required by law — for instance, statutory donor disclosures to tax authorities.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to our statutory record-keeping obligations for donation receipts). Write to contact@khashabafoundation.org with your request and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

Neither site is directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the sites grow — for instance, once online donations go live. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
